The Silver Label certification confirms the high quality of cluster management

by Food Cluster Hamburg

Food Cluster Hamburg has been awarded the Silver Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI) in cooperation with the "go-cluster" program of the BMWE. This certification recognizes the professional organization and continued development of our network according to recognized European quality standards.

The award is an important milestone and also an opportunity to bring greater attention to the role of clusters. Many people aren't clear on what the term actually means: a cluster is far more than a loose network. It is a strategically built cooperation between companies, research institutions, and other players within an industry, working together to drive innovation, share knowledge, and strengthen their competitiveness.

With the Silver Label, the ECEI confirms that our cluster is managed in a structured, transparent, and results-oriented way. The assessment covers, among other things, the quality of management processes, the range of services offered to members, and the strategic direction of the cluster.

Sascha Taube, Managing Director of Food Cluster Hamburg, says: "Awards like this are never the result of a few good presentations or processes. They come about when people are willing to build something together. To me, this is above all recognition for our network: for companies, research institutions, start-ups, and public-sector players. And for a team that works with great energy to advance topics, connect people, and enable cooperation."
