Whistleblowing System (Hintbox)

We operate an internal whistleblowing system (“Hintbox”) that allows the confidential and anonymous reporting of potential violations of laws or internal regulations.
The system is operated by lawcode GmbH, Universitätsstraße 3, 56070 Koblenz, Germany, on behalf of Food Cluster Hamburg GmbH.

When using the Hintbox, personal data are processed solely for the purpose of handling and investigating incoming reports.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with the German Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG), as well as Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in clarifying and preventing legal or policy violations).

Personal data will only be shared with third parties if this is required by law or necessary for clarification.
Data are generally deleted two months after the conclusion of the respective case, unless longer retention is required by law.
