Founded on 2 September 2024, Food Cluster Hamburg is the central platform for the food industry in the Hamburg metropolitan region. Our goal is to bring companies, research institutions, start-ups and political decision-makers closer together to develop joint solutions for the challenges and opportunities of our time.
A strong network for a strong industry
The cluster is supported by Food Cluster Hamburg GmbH, which was founded by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the supporting organisation foodactive e.V. and Süderelbe AG. With more than 123,000 employees working in approx. 4,500 companies, the food industry is a key economic factor in the region. The cluster provides a platform where this diversity can grow and thrive in a focused and future-oriented way.
